More than 560 thousand people have fled their homes due to an insurgency in northern Mozambique. The United Nations refugee agency says the violence and humanitarian crisis in the region will worsen if the International community fails to intervene.
Last December, the United Nations Regional Directors for Eastern and Southern Africa visited Mozambique to assess the plight and needs of displaced populations.
For more on this, we are joined by the spokesperson for The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees [UNHCR] in Maputo, Juliana Ghazi.
