Sellers at the Maputo Fish Market stopped their activities on Wednesday as a way of protesting against the constant stealing of seafood , that they say happens n a daily basis on their stalls.
It’s a cry for help. The protest comes as a means to end the theft of shellfish that tends to increase at the Fish Market. For sellers, it has become difficult to accept what they classify as abusive thefts.
Meanwhile, the market’s direction says that it is still going to investigate the situation.
The sellers of the Fish Market say that the transfer to this market only brought them losses as they have no peace due to the lack of security.
