Mozambique: Police recover 12 goats stolen from UEM

The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) has arrested two individual who were allegedly involved in the illegal sale of land in Matola municipality, Maputo province.
This gang recently engaged in a scheme that scammed around 50 people, who paid amounts ranging between 30,000 and 50,000 meticais for promises of housing space in Matola municipality.
The gang’s modus operandi was to encourage victims to join a project to allocate spaces allegedly promoted by Matola Municipal Council.
Following a complaint by the victims to SERNIC and the municipal authorities, the two gang members are, for now, being held in police cells in Matola.
