The 57th edition of the Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair of Mozambique (FACIM), the largest corporate and business exhibition in the country, starts in Maputo on August 29, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced on Monday (08-08).
“The Fair will provide a platform for exchange and cooperation including a series of activities such as exhibitions, seminars, promotion sessions and contact exchanges,” a statement from the ministry’s Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) indicates.
The 57th edition of FACIM will take place between the 29th of August and the 4th of September, in a hybrid model (both in person and virtual), although the emphasis is on in-person participation, taking into account the “gradual reopening of the economy”, adds the AIPEX statement, which does not provide any indication of the number of companies that will participate.
“Innovations in this edition include an exhibition pavilion for financial and insurance services, a pavilion for exporters, and a job, entrepreneurship and technological innovation fair,” the statement adds.
The FACIM trade expo has been running since 1974, one year before the proclamation of Mozambique’s independence.
