The World Bank is to provide $50 million (€43.5 million) to support vocational training centres in Mozambique next year, the National Vocational Training Authority general director, Edmundo Jossefa, said on Monday.
The money is to be used from next June and is part of a $90 million (€78.4 million) financial package the World Bank has set aside for requalifying and reequipping vocational training in Mozambique.
The autonomy will allow the vocational training institutions freedom to define admission criteria and the courses they want to teach.
