Mozambique: Two Cabo Delgado mosques closed on suspicion of promoting deviant attitudes

Community authorities in Cabo Delgado’s Montepuez district have closed two mosques in Namanhumbir on suspicion of promoting deviant attitudes regarding the principles of citizenship.
Local community leaders said that those responsible for the mosques had exhibited suspicious behaviour.
The situation was brought to the attention of Cabo Delgado governor Júlio Parruque during his visit to Montepuez district.
