The circulation of vehicles on the Mandimba-Cuamba section of the N13 will be restricted from this Thursday (08-05) due to the construction of a bridge and seven culverts in the Lugenda River basin, Congerenge administrative, Mandimba district, Niassa province.
According to a statement issued by the National Road Administration (ANE), traffic at the construction site will be diverted via a detour with a speed limit of 15 km/h.
The construction of the 30-metre bridge and seven culverts on a two-kilometre section of the N13 falls within the scope of the rehabilitation of damage caused by Cyclone Freddy.
Work is expected to take about seven months, the ANE says, with the contractor already at work on interventions to restore comfortable and safe transit within the expected deadline.
ANE regrets any inconvenience arising from the situation and recommends that road users redouble compliance with cautionary measures in force at the location, as well as punctiliously observing signage.
