STAE has reinforced the province of Sofala with an additional 15 mobile units in some districts.
Throughout the province, over 73 percent of the projected voters have already been registered, and electoral authorities are satisfied with the progress of the process, despite complaints from the MDM party.
With just 9 days left until the end of the electoral registration process, which started last month, around 350,000 voters have been registered in Sofala out of the projected 534,000, accounting for 73 percent.
The National Elections Commission, overseeing the process, calls for the intensification of civic education campaigns at all levels to ensure the involvement of everyone.
It is worth noting that last week, the MDM complained about numerous irregularities in this process, particularly the exclusion of their observers at the registration posts. However, the CNE stated that this is not true.
