Mozambique | Just In: Vitano Singano released from prison

President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, attributed, by presidential decree, the Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane Order, of the 2nd Degree to Jonas Geraldo Namashulua (posthumously) and the Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane Order, of the 3rd Degree to Olímpio Victorino Vaz (posthumously).
The Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane Order is the highest decoration of the Republic of Mozambique, and was created with the aim of valuing extraordinary acts and sacrifices made in the struggle for national unity and economic, social and cultural liberation from colonialism and racism, for the peace, friendship, solidarity and progress of humanity.
The head of state also attributed the September 25th Military Order, 1st Degree to Armando Abel Achicala (posthumously) and to Mateus Óscar Kida.
The September 25th Military Order was created with the aim of recognising extraordinary acts of heroism, abnegation, courage and courage in the struggle for national liberation and in the defence of the homeland.
Also this Wednesday, and again by presidential decree, the President of the Republic awarded the Veteran of the Struggle for the Liberation of Mozambique medal to 1,544 national citizens.
The Veteran of the Struggle for the Liberation of Mozambique medal is awarded in recognition of participation in the national liberation struggle and of patriotic engagement in the building, consolidation and development of the Republic of Mozambique.
A communiqué received by Radio Mozambique indicates that, in a separate presidential order, the head of state delegated to the Secretaries of State the imposition of these insignia, to take place on national Victory Day, September 7, 2021.
