The Provincial Directorate of Education in Gaza and Bayport Financial Services Moçambique have signed, in Xai-Xai, a partnership that aims to respond to some of the difficulties experienced by primary schools in the province, especially in rural areas.
The partnership consists of establishing a competition in which the winning three schools will receive 500,000, 350,000 and 150,000 meticais for the first, second and third prizes respectively.
Provincial Director of Education Atanásio Jaime Cossa said that improving the condition of school infrastructure, especially in rural areas, represented a major challenge for the sector, and that partnerships such as the current one could contribute substantially to achieving the common goal of quality education.
On behalf of Bayport, Sales and Business Development Director Pedro Chilundzo said that the partnership, called “Bayport in Schools” was a demonstration of the Bayport group’s commitment to social responsibility.
