Mozambique: Resource extraction 'archaic model' - energy expert
An initiative to create the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association – AMER is currently underway.
This initiative is being carried out by a core working group, who is preparing a proposal for the Association’s constituent documents: By-laws, Internal Rules and Action Plan 2017/2018.
After a successful public consultation on September 29th in Maputo, AMER is now preparing its constitution.
1) All of those interested in becoming a Founding Member of AMER need to bring a copy of their BI together with an updated criminal record to Guilhereme Daniel offices in Torres Rani, Av. Tenente Osvaldo Tazama, Marginal, Torre 1, Piso 02, Fracção Maputo, where you also need to sign the founding documents; see public consultation page 49. The deadline is October 6, 2017.
2) We plan the Constitutional Assembly General for October 23, 2017 where we will elect the social organs; all of those who wish to work for the association, need to present their candidature before October 15, 2017 to the installing commission; see public consultation page 50.

Following incorporation of the results of the public consultation and finalisation of the constituent documents of AMER, those interested in becoming AMER Founding Members will be invited to participate in the Constituent Assembly of the Association, foreseen for October 2017. We invite all interested parties to register below in the mailing list to follow and participate in this process.
ALER, with funding from RECP, is organizing the International Conference on Renewable Energies on 25-26 October, where, among others, AMER will be officially launched. In the same week, the company Eclarion is organizing a business visit between Mozambican companies and companies in Europe including matchmaking. Interested parties and companies can register here.
