O País
Two weeks after the passage of the tropical depression that shook the coastal districts of Nampula, Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Carlos Bonete Martinho visited the province to monitor ongoing actions aimed at restoring normality.
The minister watched several actions currently being carried out with a view to restoring destroyed social infrastructure and resettling and supporting families affected by the tropical depression that devastated the province.
According to Bonete, thirteen bridges destroyed in the three northern provinces have been identified, and on current assessments, the government needs 450 million meticais to implement the contingency plan in the affected provinces.
From Nampula, the minister is going on to the neighbouring province of Cabo Delgado.
