The Mozambican currency registered a stable week against the US Dollar and the Euro, according to the Central Bank’s daily average exchange rates, followed by Lusa. It was a short week due to the Independence Day holiday on Monday.
On average, the Euro was bought in the country at 68.28 meticais, 26 cents more than in the previous week.
The sale was made at 69.62 meticais per Euro, also 26 cents of the metical more expensive .
The daily average purchase price of the Euro varied between 67.87 and 68.37 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 69.20 and 69.87 meticais.
Against the US Dollar, the Mozambican currency remained almost unchanged in the last week.
The US Dollar is the currency which is used as the calculation basis for the exchange rates of other currencies in Mozambique.
During the last week, theUS dollar was bought in the country at 58.74 meticais, two cents of the metical more expensive than in the previous week.
The sale was made at 59.90 meticais for every dollar, three cents of the metical more.
The daily average purchase price of the US dollar was 58.74 on the four trading days, while the asking price ranged between 59.88 and 59.90 meticais.
