Metical depreciates against Euro

The Mozambican currency depreciated last week against the Euro but remained broadly unchanged against the US dollar, according to daily rates released by the central bank.
During the last week, the Euro was bought in Mozambique for an average of 69.79 meticais, 74 metical cents more than the previous week, and sold at 71.18, up 76 cents.
The US dollar is used as the basis for calculating the reference exchange rates for the other currencies in Mozambique.
