Mozambique: Human remains found inside a shark that washed ashore in Pebane, Zambézia

The man shot dead on Wednesday in the centre of the Mozambican capital was a member of the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC), a police source told Lusa on Thursday.
“The man who was shot by unknown individuals was a member of SERNIC. There are not many details for now, but we are working on tracing these individuals,” police spokesman Orlando Modumane said.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, when the victim was driving a vehicle which was hit with several shots fired by a group of men in another vehicle.
After the shots were fired, the victim’s car skidded into the wall of the Industrial School of Maputo.

Even with the victim’s car immobilised, one of the assassins approached the vehicle and fired again, resulting in a young man who was passing by being injured by shards of flying glass.
The body of the victim was not removed from the scene by authorities until around 7:30 p.m..
