Residents of Malanga in the city of Maputo are still without a drinking water supply after the their water main was destroyed during construction of the Maputo-KaTembe Bridge.
When the bridge construction works crossed Av. 24 de Julho, Maputo-Sul had to remove the water main supplying the residents of Malanga and, two weeks after the bridge opened, they are still without water.
The company Águas da Região de Maputo says it is finalising negotiations with Maputo-Sul and that the water main would be replaced soon.
