Gunmen attack and kidnap in Fudza – Jornal Noticias, Mozambique

Three armed attacks and a kidnapping were perpetrated last week by alleged Renamo members in Fudza district, administrative post of Guerissa, and in the village of Mussaraua, Mulevela district, Sofala province.
According to a report released on Tuesday by the PRM General Command, a total of 14 armed men were killed during the Defence and Security Forces response.
Two other gunmen were captured and the kidnap victim, 59-year-old S. Chikonga, was rescued. The Defence and Security Forces also recovered 25 head of cattle and 18 goats which the gunmen had stolen.
