Destructive gale in Macanga, Tete

A particularly destructive gale hit the administrative post of Chidzolomondo, in Macanga district, Tete this weekend.
Sixty-two houses were partially destroyed, electricity pylons damaged, and dozens of hectares of machambas [vegetable gardens] devastated.
There is no record of any injuries, however, and the government is already acting to support the families affected.
