The Deputy Minister of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Henriques Bongece, has given the Taigon crab fishing and export company fifteen days to honour the social responsibility commitments it made when it acquired its licence.
According to Bongece, the Chinese-owned company undertook to build a school, a water supply source and a health unit in Pebane district, Zambézia
The company’s owner, Mister Young, however claims that the deal is unprofitable owing to unfair competition from other companies in the industry.
