Pope Francis was 'profound and concrete' says Mozambican nun
Nine foreign citizens – eight Chinese and one South African – are currently in mandatory home quarantine in Zambézia as part of measures to prevent the spread of the new Covid-19 coronavirus.
Zambézia’s chief medical officer Óscar Hawad told Radio Mozambique yesterday that the eight Chinese citizens were in home quarantine in Quelimane, and the South African citizen at the village headquarters of Nicoadala district.
Hawad noted that more than 5,000 people had so far been screened at the Meloza border post in Milange and at Quelimane airport.
The health sector in Zambézia was arranging meetings in public institutions to disseminate information about preventative measures, he added.
