Mozambique would need US$23 million to respond, at national level, to a possible outbreak of the coronavirus, deputy national director of public health at the Ministry of Health Benigna Matshinhe has said.
At the moment, she said, the national coronavirus response plan has the capacity to assist 100 people.
Matsinhe reassured Mozambicans an society in general, saying the country had still not registered any Covid-19 cases, and that the health sector was on high alert.

The deputy national director of public health spoke to the press in Maputo on Wednesday on the sidelines of a briefing session for Assembly of the Republic deputies on the government’s five-year programme and the state budget for this year.
