The activities of Africa Mining, a Chinese-owned company that mines heavy sands in Pebane, Zambézia province, are still suspended as a result of the invasion of its property and infrastructure by the population about five months ago, Rádio Moçambique reports.
The representative of África Mining in Pebane, Coutinho Eugénio, is calling on the government to intervene and assure the resumption of activity.
The local population is preventing business activity, claiming that the company has not fulfilled its agreed social responsibility obligations.
