The National Institute of Road Transport (INATRO) resumed issuing driving licences and licence plates on Tuesday (27-08), after a temporary suspension caused by a technical failure in the Mozambique Telecom (Tmcel) optical fibre which guarantees INATRO’s connectivity.
INATRO announced that it has now resolved the problem.
On Monday (26-08), INATRO said in a note that “the support systems for the services provided by this Institute, namely the issuing of driving licences and the allocation of licence plates” were “temporarily out of service”.
IINATRO is a category A public institute, endowed with legal, administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy, whose objective is to regulate, inspect and supervise activities carried out in the road sector in order to meet the mobility needs of people and goods, with guarantees of quality and safety.
