The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has donated 17 motorbikes and a vehicle to the Zambezia Provincial Directorate for Gender, Children and Social Action, along with 19 computers, 20 printers and 14 toner cartridges.
Governor of Zambezia province, Abdul Razak, thanked the body for the help to improve institutional capacity and acknowledged that much remains to be done in this sector.
The resources will be channeled to the district directorates in the province, where UNICEF particularly hopes to see improvements in child labour practices.
