Oswaldo Armindo Faquir Petersburgo is a Mozambican politician, who served as Secretary of State for Youth and Employment.
He was born on April 22, 1984, in Milange district, Zambezia province. He is the son of Armindo dos Santos Petersburgo, and Emuna Ismael Cassamo Faquir Petersburgo.
Oswaldo Petersburg began his studies at Quelimane Primary School and finished primary school in 1995. He then attended secondary school at 25 September School and completed the level in 2002. He did his higher education at the Mozambique Institute of Science and Technology (ISCTEM) and obtained a degree in 2006. Petersburg has a degree in Sociology in Public Management.
Oswaldo Petersburgo has taken on several functions throughout his professional career: He was Director of the company Domus, SA, between 2014 and 2015; he was a member of STEMA’s corporate bodies from 2010 to 2014; he assumed the position of President of the National Youth Council, from 2009 to 2014, and Consultant of Global Suny Corporation, from 2007 to 2011.
Oswaldo Petersburgo was, between 2009 and 2013, simultaneously President of the Youth Forum of the CPLP (FJ-CPLP) and President of the Assembly Board of this collective. He led the development of a standard research tool including training in the provinces and the design of electronic terminals at the Single Service Counters (BAU) for the Public Service. He worked and collaborated in the drafting of the regulations for pre-professional training courses.
He was an advisor on the drafting of Agenda 2025, vision and future of the nation, member of the Honour Committee of the X African Games in Maputo in 2011 and received a diploma of Honour from the Ministry of Planning and Development.
