Accommodation
Newly built lodge and chalets are designed and furnished to the highest standards of style and hygiene. Brick built and thatched roofing using local sedge reeding. All beds feature fitted design mosquito curtains

Chalet 1: 2 double bedrooms, and one twin ,kitchen diner, fridge, gas cooker, kettle cutlery and crockery for 4 people, sheets, fitted mosquito nets, ceiling fans, 1 shared bathroom and one on suite. Private terrace and built in braai facing pool.

Chalet 2: 2 double bedrooms, and one twin bedroom all fitted mosquito netted, 1 shared bathroom and one on suite, fitted kitchen, fridge freezer, gas cooker, cutlery and crockery for 6 people. Private verandah and built in braai facing pool area.

Chalet 3: one double bedroom, and two twin bedrooms one shared bathroom and one on suite bathroom ,Fitted kitchen diner fridge freezer, gas stove and oven. Fitted mosquito nets. Cutlery crockery and bed linen supplied.

Chalet 4: one double bedroom, one sleeper couch, one bathroom fitted kitchen.

Chalet 5: Dormer Lapa format. Large Reed-thatched timber Lapa with canvas walls formatted in 8 single beds with shared kitchen and shared bathroom

In addition we offer 10 camping sites located on lawns dotted through the estate gardens each served with electricity and water. Ablution block featuring kitchen preparation area, showers and toilets located near the central bar area.

Bed linen, towels and soap/shower gel is provided to B&B guests free of charge

– Bar/lounge featuring Mozambican and international cuisine and fully stocked bar at competitive prices.
– DSTV is available and international sporting fixtures can be shown to interested guests.
– Impressive wine list featuring South African and Portuguese vintages.
– Popular dishes include seafood platter, beef trinchado, prego steak, barracuda fillet, and of course peri peri chicken.
– Tall R&Rs, caipirinhas and meter-high coolers of draft 2M beer by the pool side.
– All our prawns, seafood and as much of the vegetables, salad, beef and chicken is sourced from growers locally on the island.

– Cellphone coverage is good but variable from the 3 local suppliers; Vodacom, Mcel and Movitel. The lodge does not offer free wifi but can offer Internet access for emergency and banking services
– Electricity is 240v supply and sockets are South African 3 round-pin format. Adapters available to guests.
– The lodge has powerful generator back up for power outages that serve the entire lodge and chalets.
– We can accept payment via local and international debit and credit cards from Visa, MasterCard, and Electron. Payment will be charged in Mozambican Meticais

Activities:
Horse riding lessons and safari outings from the El Paso Stables 10 minutes away start at 250 per half day outing. Caters to all levels of experience across a wide variety of horses.
Boat cruises both up the Incomati river to view hippos and bird life start at R500 pp. ocean cruises to fishing banks, dive sites and Inhaca island . POA
Macaneta is a birders paradise with over 400 recorded species of wetland, Oceania, shore and veld species. We are curtly recruiting for and experienced guide.
Established 4×4 and quadbike trail through the nearby dunes. NB it is forbidden to drive any motorized vehicle on the beach by law unless loading or unloading a boat! This rule is strictly enforced on the island and by us.
