Army sent to battle fire in Namibia tourist hotspot
Cephas Msipa, a fearless critic of President Robert Mugabe’s regime in recent times has died.
Msipa died at West End clinic in Harare Monday morning around 4am.
He was admitted over a suspected chest infection.
Msipa, who quit active politics a few years ago, has repeatedly urged Mugabe (92) to name a successor and step down to avoid eroding his political legacy and “being consumed by unrestrained public anger” triggered by the harsh economic environment.
Cde Msipa was a former Midlands governor and Zanu-PF Politburo member.
