Mozambique: Venâncio Mondlane breaks ties with Podemos party

The President of the Republic of Zambia Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu will today, 5th August 2019, visit Maputo in Mozambique “following the country’s signing of a long term peace pledge between its Government and the opposition, Renamo”.
On Thursday, the Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi and Renamo leader Ossufo Momade signed the peace accord to mark the official end of the conflict between Renamo armed men and the defence and security forces which in return will allow for the long lasting peace that all Mozambicans have been longing for.
President Lungu is the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Operation.
According to a statement issued by the presidential spokesperson Isaac Chimpampe on Sunday, Presdient Edgar Lungu would leave Zambia to Mozambique at 15h.
