Macuácua keeps shining in Portugal and breaks Mozambique's 10000 metres record

Zacarias Sitoe on Sunday (November 6) broke the marathon national (Mozambican) record in Oporto, Portugal.
Now competing for the Sporting de Portugal, the Mozambican athlete finished the Porto Marathon among the top 10 with a time of 2:34.39, surpassing that of the legendary António Repinga.
Repinga’s marathon national record, which lasted over 50 years, was 2:38.39.
Mozambican athlete Verónica José, also competing for Sporting, achieved a good time in the 10 km race, on the same day.
The men’s marathon big winner in Oporto was Kenya’s James Mwangui, with 2:08.47, followed by Ethiopians Abraraw Misganaw Tegegne and Haymanot Alew, who took second and third places with 2:10.29 and 2:11.10 respectively.
