Young man murdered in Matola rescuing 16-year old from gang rapists – Watch

A young man was beaten to death by criminals when he tried to rescue a girl who was being gang raped in the Matola C neighbourhood. He has died in Maputo Central Hospital. The perpetrators, identified by the girl, are all reportedly at large.
His intervention saved the 16-year-old girl from rape. Her abusers were slapping and molesting her when the young man, who knew her, came to her aid.
He was brutally beaten and was unable to move by the time he arrived at Matola Provincial Hospital. He was transferred from there to Maputo Central Hospital, where he lost his life.
The family of the deceased is demanding justice, and although the girl knows her attackers and has identified them by name, they have not yet been arrested.
