One dead, one wounded and 19 houses burned down is the result of yet another armed attack on Wednesday night in Nagalue, a small village located about 10 kilometres away from Mucojo, in Macomia district, in the centre of Cabo Delgado province.
The information was confirmed by the survivors, people who had fled their homes.
According to witnesses, the attack began at around 8 p.m. when a group of eight men, with one carrying a firearm, raided Nagulue.
The attackers shot dead a person whose body was later charred as the attackers burned down the victim’s residence.
In this attack, one person was wounded and about 20 houses were burned down before the men left the village.
This is the second attack in Cabo Delgado this month. The first took place in Pundanhar Administrative Post, in the district of Palma.
Contacted by our report no authority accepted to speak on the new attack.
It should be noted that Macomia is the district that has suffered the most attacks since the armed groups began to carry out acts of terror in October 2017.
