Everything is ready for the staging tomorrow, on the beach at Xai-Xai, capital of Gaza, of the twelfth gala benefit to help needy children from Tchale, in the northern province’s Chicualacuala district.
TVM’s Yolanda Mondlane says that the aim of the social responsibility event, held in partnership with the Office of the Wife of the President of the Republic and Mozambique Red Cross, is to seek support for the construction of a school in Tchale with three classrooms and bathrooms.
TVM is being supported by the Office of the Wife of the President, as well as by civil society and people of goodwill who will ensure the gala achieves its objectives and alleviates the suffering of the needy in Tchale.
Tchale, plagued by the prolonged drought affecting all of Gaza, is struggling with a shortage of drinking water and water for livestock, one of the mainstays of the local population.
Over 250 people from the capital of the country and all over Gaza are expected to attend the gala benefit.
