Woman beats husband to death, assisted by family members – Khongolote, Matola

Folha de Maputo reports that, in a ‘crime of passion’, a young woman living in Matola’s Khongolote neighbourhood beat her husband to death for getting home too late.

Accusing him of having a relationship with another woman, the wife attacked her husband, and, helped by five family members, beat him to death in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Neighbours told O Pais that an hour after the crime, the police arrested the victim’s wife and others who had participated in the incident. The victim’s relatives report that the couple lived in a permanent state of upset and demanded justice.
