Mozambique: Chimoio supports Maputo with 10 garbage trucks under 'twinning' agreement

Meque Brás, second deputy chairperson of Mozambique’s National Elections Commission, appointed by Renamo, says his wife, who was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday, has later managed to escape and is already back home, Canalmoz reports. She was kidnapped while driving her husband’s car in Mocuba, Zambézia province.
Meque Brás was in South Africa (Durban) supervising the production of electoral material at Uniprint, outsourced by Académica.
The kidnappers asked Brás’ wife why was he not ‘collaborating’, reads the Canalmoz report.
The same source details that the abduction was carried by a group of five unidentified individuals at about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, in the district of Mocuba, Zambézia province.
