The Pope will pass the two nights he will spend in Mozambique “at the Nunciature, which is the embassy and the residence of the Pope,” the coordinator of the Papal visit has told @Verdade.
Pope Francis arrives in Mozambique on Tuesday, September 4, and on the night of the 4th and the 5th will sleep at the Nunciature, located in the Polana neighbourhood, Dom António Juliasse says.
The residence, located at 224 Kwame Nkrumah Street in Maputo City, is a new two-storey building without conspicuous opulence or even noticeable security.
Asked if any special menu or Mozambican delicacies were being prepared for the Pope, the Auxiliary Bishop of Maputo said that “all Mozambicans would like to bring him a dish to taste, but it will be the team of Nunciature cooks who will take care of the Holy Father and those accompanying him.”

The 50-person Papal entourage, made up of secretaries, undersecretaries, bishops and cardinals, will be housed in a modest hotel unit located a couple of blocks from the Nunciature.
