Mozambique: Honey production helps families in national park buffer zone, keeps elephants away
The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) is forecasting extreme temperatures in the south of the country today as a result of an approaching low pressure system.
Maximum temperature of between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius are likely to be experienced today (Thursday) in Maputo (districts of Boane, Moamba, Magude, Namaacha, Marracuene, Manhiça and cities of Maputo and Matola) and Gaza (districts of Guija, Massingir, Mabalane, Chicualacuala, Chigubo and Chibuto).
According to the report sent to Folha de Maputo the weather will then change yet again in Maputo and Gaza, with some rainfall accompanied by scattered thunderstorms and moderate winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
