The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasts the occurrence of winds with strong gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour, which could agitate the sea and generate waves with heights of up to 5 metres, south of the parallel 23 degrees south, starting from the end of Wednesday (21) until this Thursday (22) combined with the occurrence of light rain and winds with strong gusts of up to 60 kilometres per hour in the coastal districts of the provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane.
INAM recommends taking precautionary measures in face of the possibility of strong gusts.
In the provinces of Tete, Zambézia, Manica and Sofala, partly cloudy skies are expected, locally very cloudy along the coastal strip of the Province of Zambezia, where there is a possibility of scattered light rain; Local morning mist or fog; Light to moderate southeasterly winds, sometimes blowing with gusts.
For the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Nampula, INAM predicts partly cloudy skies, locally very cloudy; Possibility of scattered light rain; Local morning mists or fogs; Light to moderate southeasterly to easterly winds.
