Weather bureau warns of continued rainfall and thunderstorms in Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane
The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts continuing moderate to strong rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces until the end of the week.
According to INAM, the bad weather could extend until the end of the week, with tendency to improve.
Meteorologist Acacio Tembe says that the centre of the country could be hit by heavy rains, mainly in Manica, from Friday on.
The meteorologist says there will be a slight slowdown in rainfall in the northern part of the country.
