The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasts the occurrence of winds with strong gusts, of up to 60 kilometres per hour, which may create agitation at sea and generate waves with heights of up to 3.5 metres from the afternoon of this Friday, August 13, in the region fifty miles off the coast, between parallels 18 and 24 degrees south.
According to INAM, the phenomenon is likely to influence the weather onshore, mainly in the coastal districts of the provinces of Inhambane, Sofala and Zambézia.
INAM further forecasts the occurrence of light showers or rains, locally moderate in the provinces of Inhambane, Sofala, Manica and Zambézia, tonight and tomorrow, August 14, 2021.
Given this forecast, INAM recommends taking precautionary and safety measures, given the risk associated with strong winds.
