Mozambique: Governor of Manica urges reduction of damage caused by mining production
The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts the occurrence of intense heat today, with temperatures between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius in the southern region of the country.
In addition, NAM forecasts the occurrence of winds with strong gusts up to 60 km/h, from the end of the day.
This will be followed by a sharp drop in temperature (23 to 25 degrees Celsius) tomorrow, August 8, warns INAM .
Risk areas:
Maputo Province (districts of Matutuíne, Boane, Namaacha, Marracuene, Moamba, Magude, Manhiça and Maputo and Matola cities);
Gaza Province (mainly in the districts of Massingir, Chicualacuala, Chigubo, Mabalane, Guijá, Chibuto, Bilene, Mandlakazi and cities of Chókwé and Xai-Xai).
Inhambane Province (mainly in the districts of Zavala, Inharrime and Panda).
INAM recommends taking precautionary and safety measures against the risks associated with high temperatures and strong gusts.
