Mozambique: Over 180 tonnes of waste removed from coastal areas

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasts strong winds with speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour accompanied by weak to moderate rain for today, June 13, 2019.
According to a statement released by the weather bureau, the forecasts covers:
Maputo province – Matutuine, Boane, Namaacha, Marracuene, Manhiça, Moamba, Magude districts and the cities of Maputo and Matola;
Gaza province – Bilene, Mandlakazi, Chókwé, Guijá, Chibuto, Mabalane, Chicualacuala, Mapai districts and the city of Xai-Xai;
Inhambane province – Mabote, Funhalouro, Panda, Morrumbene, Zavala, Jangamo, Inharrime, Homoíne districts and the cities of Inhambane and Maxixe.
In the same communiqué, INAM warns that the same weather system could affect maritime navigation between parallels 23 – 27 degrees south, with waves up to four metres high.
The temperature is expected to drop to 24 to 26 degrees Celsius today throughout the south of the country.
The weather bureau advises taking all appropriate precautionary and safety measures.
