Mozambique: Government approves regulation on international trade in endangered species

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) warns that a heatwave in the southern part of Mozambique will continue until Friday, with temperatures ranging from hot to very hot (maximum 35 to 38 degrees Celsius), accompanied by thunderstorms.
In Maputo province, Matutuine, Namaacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude, Manhiça and Marracuene districts and the cities of Maputo and Matola will be affected.
In Gaza, Massingir, Chókwe, Chonguene, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chicuálacuala, Mapai, Mabalane, Chigubo, Massangena, Chibuto and Guijá districts and the city of Xai-Xai will be affected, and in Inhambane, Panda, Funhalouro and Mabote.
The centre of the country continues to experience very hot weather locally, leading to strong winds, showers, thunderstorms and hail in the Zambezi valley.
The INAM recommends taking appropriate precautionary and safety measures.
