The Mozambique National Meteorology Institute (INAM) warns of heavy rainfall accompanied by severe thunderstorms in almost all districts of the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Nampula as of this Tuesday.
According to a press release received in our Newsroom, the bad weather results from the intensification of the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, which could lead to rainfall of more than 50 millimetres in 24 hours.
INAM also predicts that bad weather will be accompanied by winds with very strong gusts.
Due to the risk associated with heavy rain, lightning and wind gusts, INAM recommends precautions and safety precautions.
