Leader of the Independent Party of Mozambique (PIMO), Yaqub Sibindy, said recently in an interview with newspaper ‘Dossiers & Factos’ that, since the terrorists use guerrilla tactics, “We need guerrillas to fight them”.
“In the same way that insurgents train young people to fight, our guerrillas must also train young people. The insurgents sleep there in the bush, eat there and train there, so the state must also start training its guerrillas there, including young people. If the FDS are to defend our sovereignty, we really need a guerrilla [force] – a government guerrilla,” Sibindy told Dossiers & Factos.
