The United States Department of State classifies Mozambique as one of the safest countries in the world.
In its Travel Advisory, the system of safety recommendations for travellers, the US Department of State published this month [January 10 2018] a ranking that assigns a risk classification to all countries, grouped into four levels of threat.
Mozambique appears on the list as a safe destination, classified as level 1 [Exercise normal precautions].
