Twelve homes in Natugo village, Quissanga district, were torched by terrorists last Sunday, Miramar reports.
The terrorists also stole goods from people’s homes and village stalls. A village official told Miramar that the terrorists later burned all the stolen goods.
Intervention by the Defence and Security Forces expelled the terrorists and restored tranquillity in the village.
The Commander General of the PRM, Bernardino Rafael, who visited the area this Wednesday, assured Miramar that the group responsible were being pursued, with some of its members already killed in confrontations.
