President Nyusi has visited the yards of Damen Shiprepair, a shipbuilding and repair company located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Damen Shiprepair is one of the largest companies in the world and is interested in supplying freight and passenger ferry craft to Mozambique.
Another Netherlands company, the global hydrocarbons company Shell, is in negotiations with the Mozambican government to carry out the liquefaction of natural gas in the Rovuma Basin.
Project investment in Mozambique is expected to be around US$500 million, a demonstration of interest from the Anglo-Dutch oil giant that led the president to visit the firm’s headquarters in the Netherlands.
