President Nyusi arrived this morning in Harare to attend a one day Extra-Ordinary Organ Troika Summit of heads of state and government.
In a statement yesterday evening, the Zimbabwean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade noted that the main purpose of the extraordinary summit is to consider the urgent security situation in Mozambique following our country’s formal request to the regional body.

Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa is hosting the extra ordinary summit in his capacity as the chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security.
President Mnangagwa chairs the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security while President Nyusi deputises him
Other heads of State attending the troika summit are Zambian President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu and Botswana President, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi.
