The Joint Commission for Dialogue for the restoration of peace in Mozambique suspends its meetings until Wednesday, August 24, reports Televisão de Moçambique.
The spokesman of the group, Mario Rafaeli, said on Monday that the two parties have a day to deepen reflection on the proposal of the mediators for the cessation of hostilities in Mozambique.
Mario Rafaeli did not detail the content of the proposal submitted to the parties separately, namely the government and Renamo. But on the session on Monday the spokesman of the meeting reveals that there has been some progress, although he he gave no details.
