Holding a teleconference with party members in Cabo Delgado yesterday, Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama urged members of his party to forget the grief and pain caused by the military hostilities and look forward optimistically to the new phase the country is entering.
Dhlakama appealed to Renamo members to follow his example. He himself had escaped death during the hostilities, he said, but was not thinking of revenge. The Renamo leader said his frequent contact with President Nyusi, aimed at stabilising the country, was the example to follow.
The teleconference was attended by Renamo members from all 17 Cabo Delgado districts.
